I think email SPAM is completely useless as no one ever reads those emails.

I don't know what conversion rates they get but I am sure it's not worth it!

Its less than .01% problaby even less. As a lot of emails get filter out

Ironically, I've been receiving tons of Viagra spam emails to my hotmail inbox recently.
They all passed the filter until a few days ago when Hotmail finally updated their filters and now I get 100+ of these emails daily into my junk box.

Research shows that ~2% of people actually read spam mails. So it's still a good go for spammers..

Taking into consideration that they send millionce and billions of mail at once, even 0.01% should make a good revenue for them

1) To your partners/affiliates you have recently shown an answer to an open letter on a blog you know very well, and in this answer you mention contracts with some well known drug stores. I would guess that both me and your patners/affiliates would like to know the names of these drug stores and can you tell me why you are not mentioning the names on your sites? I'm sure that people would be much more willing to buy the products of your site if they knew which well-known drug stores is behind the products. So your affiliates is probably loosing sales based on the fact that the names of these well-known drug stores is kept a secret.


I dont think i understand you right. What you mean telling "drug stores is behind the products". There is no retail drug store in supply chain. Just recent we add more information about products on our sites. Real images of package for example. More information will published soon.




2) Why did you start to put username/password protection on feed.glavmed.com?


For security reason. All of glavmed members have full access to this page.



3) Have you noticed that even though you started to put username/password on feed.glavmed.com then the "dishonest business rivals" out there giving you so much trouble by stealing your code/design and spamming in the name of Canadian Pharmacy still have access to the newest version of your ShopEngine (have checked many times using get_status.php on spamvertised Canadian Pharmacy sites). Which can only mean that these "dishonest business rivals" is among the people you have given a username/password for feed.glavmed.com to. That must narrow down the list of who these "dishonest business rivals" can be, right?


Actully, i feel some sarcasm in your voice.
Once again, all glavmed members have direct access to download page. There is no secret for Glavmed affiliates. If you need an access - wrote me a letter.
I never say that no one of Glavmed aff never send any spam. Yes, some of them did send spam. But all of them know, that all orders, that comes from webmail. or mail. subdomains (or wellknown webmail interfaces gmail yahoo mail etc) will be canceled automatically. There is no point to send any spam traffic to Glavmed. And everybody know it.



4) Have you ever figured out how these "dishonest business rivals" you are refering to they were ones (I don't know if they are anymore) able to get control over your servers?


I think you missed a difference between hosting providers, anti-ddos shields , failover/managed dns system and hosting users.

If you try to tell that Glavmed is nest of f*cking spammers - this is not a news, and you are not first. )

Now, on all domains that hosted on glavmed servers you can find a abuse page that opens on nameserver. For example if domain server by ns1.nscontrol.com you can submit a abuse to http://nscontrol.com




6) Why did you ones tell me that I could send my email adresses to you and then you would try to add them to a blacklist so they would no longer be spammed, if you have no relation to spammers at all?

Actully, i know some peoples, who serve a "list of abusers" - a public email list of persons like you, who never buy anything but can make a lot of problems to spammers.

Переодически мне приходится переписыватся с активистами антиспаммерами. Они считают что у нас тут спамерское гнездо и обвиняют нас во всех смертных грехах, включая подрыв экономики сша, ддос атаки на грузию и киргизию (!) распространиение порно и т.п.
Я как могу объясняю что это мягко говоря не так. Обычно безуспешно. Ребята немного фанатичны и поэтому плохо внимают фактам. Им кажется что они наконец нашли причину всех бед в интернетах, а когда им говорят что это не так - расстраиваются. Обычно ддосят или абузы пишут хостерам и аплинкам.
